In the Name of God, The Most Beneficent, The Most Merciful.

رسولُ اللهِ‏ِ (صَلَّيَ اللهُ عَلَيهِ وَ آلِهِ): مَن أقَرَّ بالذُّلِّ طائعاً فَلَيسَ مِنّا أهلَ البيتِ

The Prophet (S) said, ‘Whoever succumbs to degrading himself is not considered from among us, The Ahl Al-Bayt.’

[Tuhaf al-’Uqul, no. 58]

Humiliation is something we should never fall into. Humiliation is not what makes you lose or fail when you try to win the good. Rather, humiliation is when you choose to be humiliated with your own will, while God wants you to strive for honor and dignity with your faith and your actions.

It starts from the inside and radiates out. Some people choose to humiliate themselves with their negative beliefs, ways of thinking and mentality which will lead to dark actions that will affect yourself and your own environment. We should never allow ourselves to be in a state of humiliation. It doesn’t matter if you have the whole world against you. You should always seek honour and dignity because God has honoured you and your existence as a human being.

Let us reflect on how Imam Khomeini (R) chose dignity and honour over the alternative of humiliation which was presented to him by the arrogant powers. Let us reflect on how Imam Al-Khomeini (R) tried to build a nation in preparation for the return of Imam Al-Mahdi (ajf). Many Muslims today have chosen to live in humiliation. Let us wake up together and build a world of goodness and love by making the soil fertile, so that Imam Mahdi (ajf) and the Prophet Jesus (as) will come to plant the seeds of peace and justice in the same way it was filled with corruption and injustice, and let us await the rains of mercy which God has planned for the humanity which strives for perfection!

Peace and Blessings Be upon Prophet Muhammad (saw) and his Progeny (as)
